Mr. Kathuri Ndwiga James
Coordinator, School of Humanities and Social Sciences

 

The school of Humanities and social sciences at Mombasa campus is coordinated by Mr. James Ndwiga Kathuri. The school offers three degree programs namely:

  1. Bachelor of Arts – In this program the students picks three disciplines selected from Sociology, Psychology, Kiswahili, English, Literature, Geography, Religious Studies, History, Archeology and Political Studies during the first and second years and then proceed with one or two displines in Third and Fourth year.
  2. Bachelor of Arts (Counseling Psychology)

The school also services Bachelor of Education Arts by providing a combination of two teaching subjects drawn from English, Literature, Geography, History, Kiswahili, Christian Religious Education and Islamic Religious Education.
Bachelor of Education Science students taking Biology or Mathematics can also combine with Geography which is under the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Mode of Study
The degree programs are offered through the following modes of study:

  1. Full-time
  2. Part time(Evening and Weekend)
  3. School Based (April, August and December sessions)

The School engages in field trips that enhance teaching and learning.
