Message from the Director

“I am delighted to welcome our readers including potential students to our website. Welcome to Kenyatta University, a world-class university committed to quality and relevance. Our inspiration is drawn from the idea that academic undertaking is more valuable when it makes a contribution to our communities and the world at large. This in turn, inspires us in our research and our view of education. Our Programmes and activities are designed to be relevant to the community by reflecting current research to address societal needs.

As you browse through our web site, you will discover new information, ideas, and inspirations. To a prospective student, I am confident that interacting with our web site will arouse your interest as to consider joining the next generation of scholars that does not only focus on becoming an academic giants, but also a servant to humanity.  To a benefactor, this web site is an opportunity to witness the impact that your ideas and/or resources have at community level. To those who are passionate about promoting community service through research, I hope you will find further insights in our web site and perhaps work with us to do even more. And, to those already in KU as students, staff members, or faculty, this site can be more productive and informative.

The Directorate is therefore open to all in the University Community. Having observed who our students are and what our graduates have become, I can confidently acknowledge the contribution our faculty and staff have made and are making, and the intense sense of duty and the energy that permeates the entire Directorate. Indeed, I am thrilled and humbled at the same time, yet struck by how much more each one of us can and should do in order to meet the enormous challenges that are before all of us in serving humanity.

Finally allow me to sincerely thank all those who have contributed to the success of the Directorate either directly or indirectly. I do believe that I will continue to count on your support as we move our centre to greater heights of success in impacting lives of our people and enhancing their quality of life.
Thank you all!”
