Virtual and Open Learning programmes seeks to provide learning opportunities to students who are unable to take up full-time on-campus programmes. The School provides a wide range of quality programmes at Diploma, Undergraduate and Post-graduate levels through Open and Distance Learning modes, using blended learning that combines digital instruction with live tutorials.

School of Business

Business programmes are tailor-made to fit students' career choices and job market demands. Programmes currently on offer are Bachelor of Commerce with options of specialization in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Management Science & Actuarial Science. The School also offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing Management, Human Resources Management, Finance, Entrepreneurship Management, Strategic Management, Project Management, and Management Information Systems.

School of Agriculture & Enterprise Development

Agriculture and Enterprise Development (SAED), one of the youngest but fast growing Schools in the University, having been established four years ago to offer unique training in agriculture with emphasizes on agriculture as a business. Through this webpage we hope to give you a virtual tour of the academic programs we are currently offering in the school and students experience.

School of Economics

Economics School was established in 2008, to give the economics discipline at Kenyatta University a chance to evolve and increase its research activities in order for the School to contribute its fair share to knowledge augmentation in Economics. The school offers specialized economics courses such as Bachelor of Economics and Statistics; Bachelor of Economics and Finance; Master of Economics in such specialized areas as Health Economics, Financial Economics, Environmental Economics, just to mention but a few.

School of Applied Human Sciences

Applied Human Sciences (SAHS) has continued to grow as it trains graduates in areas related to quality of life. The areas include Community Resource Management; Fashion Design; Foods & Nutrition; Physical and Health Education; Recreation Management and Sports Science. Departments within the School continue to review existing programmes and curriculum and develop new ones in line with new developments arising from the demands of the job market.


School of Education

Education School(SoE), hereinafter referred to as the School, has a comparatively long history dating from the 1970s when -as Faculty of Education of the University of Nairobi –it was transferred to its current location in Kahawa along Thika Road. Since then, the School has remained the foundation stone of the current Kenyatta University (KU), as it grows in leaps and bounds to constitute thirteen teaching schools and one graduate school.
