Wayne Rooney mocks Manchester City moments after Everton draw – then trolls fans on Twitter
The 31-year-old forward joined Everton on a two-year deal back in July after 13 historic seasons with Manchester United and has impressed in his opening performances since re-signing for his boyhood club.
Rooney was the match-winner as he scored the only goal of the game in the Toffees’ defeat of Stoke on the opening weekend and, on Monday night, it looked to be going the same way until Raheem Sterling popped up in the 82nd minute with an equaliser.
While the England and United legend was disappointed not to have come away from the Etihad with a victory, he was in good spirits when talking to Sky Sports in his post-match interview.
‘How sweet was it to score at the Etihad?’ Gary Neville asked Rooney in the aftermath of the draw.
Wayne Rooney responded: ‘What… again?’

Before long, Rooney took to Twitter to troll City supporters who have given him endless stick over the course of his career in the English top flight.

Many United fans thought it was the end of Rooney when he left for Everton this summer, but he was never going to bow out quietly, was he?
