Carrying drinks from point to point in a glass or an open container can be very difficult.
Such drinks are faced with the risk of spilling when whirled.
But a physician has come to the aid and solved the mystery by inventing a saucer.
As explained by the physicist, the saucer is designed in a way such that it can control any drink from spilling.
According to Joshua Millstein, the pioneer of the saucer, he wanted to put a principal he learned in practice.
“I was intrigued by principal I was learning in a University course that explained how a cup suspended by a thread would not spill while carried”, Millstein told business insider.
With that principle in mind, he developed SpillNot, a Saucer made carrying drinks from room to room or over a short distance.
He further adds that he has been receiving positive feedbacks from different people who have been using it.
How it works
The SpillNot takes the old, intricate laws of physics and applies them into a simple, modern solution for the everyday problem with beverages.
Open-top drink containers, such as mugs filled with coffee or tea, have always proved to be an inconvenience among beverage drinkers on the go.
The science behind this idea prevents liquids from sloshing back and forth out of the container, resulting in an equilibrium state that also puts your mind at ease.
The SpillNot is a simple enough contraption, consisting of a saucer upon which to place your drink, which itself hangs from a loop handle.
The saucer’s surface can hold a single open beverage container of varying shapes and sizes. It can be carried from point A to point B at any speed or level of concentration, no longer requiring you to keep you sight fixed on your container for fear of spillage.
It is perfect for home or work use, as well as social gatherings and public events like sports games and concerts. You can order the SpillNot here on their website.
SAFETY FIRST – When used with caution and common sense, the SpillNot allows you to carry your favorite beverages without those messy annoying spills.
NOTE: this amazing invention is based on physics not magic. If it is bumped, shaken vigorously, or aggressively spun, drinks could spill.
It’s great fun to push the limits of the SpillNot but please be careful, and practice before attempting tricks near other people.
First go to an outdoor open area, away from other people, and never use hot beverages or breakable containers.
