In the first year, students take units from the University Common Courses, and some common units. In the second year of study, students are expected to take two units from other programmes in the School of Environmental Studies and Human Sciences, and the rest from the programme for which they are registered. In the third and fourth years of study students have the option to pursue specialisations within the programmes.
Admission Requirements: (Environmental studies) In addition to meeting the university entry requirements, and being an interdisciplinary course, candidates are required to have obtained at least (C+) in KSCE or its equivalent with at least C+ in any three of the following cluster subjects: (English or Mathematics); (Geography, History and Government or Religious Education); (Agriculture, Home Science, Computer Studies); (Economics or Commerce); (Biology, Chemistry or Physics). Candidates with KCSE of C plain must also have a Diploma with at least credit pass from a recognised institution.
