The School of Hospitality and Tourism was awarded Ecowarrior Award 2nd runners-up position county-wide by the Ecotourism Kenya on the 27th September 2017 at the Radison Blue Hotel. The award epitomized efforts and contributiions to the uptake of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and in particular SDG 4: Quality Education.
