The Mombasa Campus Hostel has a male and female wing. Each wing contains a common room with a TV + pool table, double rooms, quadruple rooms, and octuple rooms with ceiling fans, each floor has a common kitchenette, laundry, and ample washrooms

Chama cha Kiswahili Chuo Kikuu cha Kenyatta Bewa la Mombasa (CHAKIKEMO) under the patronage of Dr. Sussy Nandama -a Kiswahili lecturer at the campus-organized a Kiswahili educational forum on 26th March 2024. 
The keynote speakers for this forum were Mr. Timothy Omusikoyo Sumba and Mr. Jonathan Ngua Furaha, both writers and editors of Kiswahili literature.
During the forum, Bachelor of Education students - were sensitized on how to use newspapers e.g. Taifa Leo as a Kiswahili teaching resource.
Students from Mvita Junior Secondary School and Qubaa Muslim Secondary School were taught how to use the newspaper as a learning resource, the past paper publications as exam revision guides in the Kiswahili language and literature, and also given a talk on how to become an author/editor. 
The forum ended with a quiz session called "Chemsha Bongo". The event was aired on TV47 and Radio47.
