ABSTRACT & FINAL PAPER GUIDELINES

TITLE

The title of the article in line with the conference theme and sub-themes should:

  • Be a concise statement of the main topic.
  • Be aligned with the conference theme and sub-themes.
  • Contain a maximum of 21 words.
  • Be in Times New Romans, font size 12.

CONFERENCE SUB-THEMES
This should be clearly specified as guided by the conference poster.

AUTHOR(S) INFORMATION

These should include;

  • The names of authors with one of the author clearly designated as the corresponding author.
  • Email addresses and phone numbers of the authors.
  • The institution of affiliations of authors (Affiliations should include department,
    university or organization, city, and country).

ABSTRACT

The abstract should;

  • Be aligned with the conference theme and sub-themes (Conference Sub-Theme should be specified).
  • Be a summary of key aspects of the manuscript.
  • Contain between 4-6 key words separated by comma to make distinction.
  • Be in one block, single spaced and not exceeding 300 words.
  • Be in Times New Romans, font size 12.
  • Not include any citation.
  • Be submitted in soft copy by 3rd May 2024

CONFERENCE PAPER

The conference paper should;

  • Be aligned with the conference theme and sub-themes (Conference Sub-Theme should be specified).
  • Not exceed 7,000 words or 15 pages.
  • Be scientific and of high value of novelty.
  • Be in Times New Romans’, font size 12 and single spaced.
  • Have all headings and sub-headings properly numbered.
  • Be consistent with the guidelines of the Publication Manual of the American
    Psychological Association (7th Edition).
  • Be properly edited
  • Be submitted in soft copy as follows;
    • Draft paper by 6th May 2024
    • Final paper by 19th May 2024

FORMAT OF MANUSCRIPT
All submitted manuscripts must include the following items;

  • Title.
  • List of authors, their affiliations and email addresses.
  • Abstract.
  • Introduction.
  • Main body.
  • Results and discussion.
  • Conclusions.
  • Acknowledgments (optional).
  • References.

Introduction
The introduction section should provide a context for your manuscript and the problem environment. Ensure that you are as precise as possible to keep the flow of your research to enable the readers to understand your research from the onset.

Main body
The main body part should include the main proposed ideas which includes the objectives, literature review, methodology, results, and discussions.

Conclusions
A conclusion is where you summarize the paper’s findings and generalize their contribution, discuss data, and recommend further research. An effective conclusion should provide a gloss for a paper, leaving the reader feeling content that the concepts have been fully explained.

Acknowledgments
The author is free to decide whether to include acknowledgments or not. Usually, the
acknowledgments section includes the names of people who in some way contributed to the work, but do not fit the criteria to be listed as the authors. This section of your manuscript can also include information about funding sources.

References
Authors are required to use the APA style of referencing in alphabetical order.

PUBLICATION OF ABSTRACTS AND PAPERS

Upon review and acceptance by the Conference Editorial Board;

  • Abstracts will be published electronically in IBRIC 2024 Book of Abstracts.
  • Final papers presented in the conference will be published electronically in IBRIC 2024 Book of Conference Proceedings.

ABSTRACTS AND PAPERS SUBMISSION

The Abstracts and full papers should be submitted online as e-mail attachments in MS Word to
ibric.conference@ku.ac.ke
