Hon. Miano has served in the same capacity in the Ministry of East African Community, Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs) & Regional Development. In her previous docket, she served in the EAC Council of Ministers and was also an Ex-Officio Member of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).
She was the Managing Director & CEO of Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC (KenGen) — and the first woman in the organisation’s history—to lead an electricity generating company in the eastern Africa region. She held this prestigious position for 5 years.
