            QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Chemistry  OR Higher National Diploma (HND) in Analytical Chemistry or related field from a recognized institution
  • Diploma in Analytical Chemistry or related field from a recognized institution
  • At least five (5) years relevant work experience in a busy teaching or research laboratory, three (3) of which at a Senior level
  • MEDICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIST – GRADE 11

            This is the position of Chief Technician who will have Senior Technicians and Technicians supporting the position.

            PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
            To oversee usage, repair and maintenance of Laboratory equipment and advice on acquisition of     new modern equipment.

            QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master Degree in the relevant field from a recognized university
  • Bachelor Degree or Higher Diploma in Medical Engineering or Electronic and Instrumentation or related field from a recognized institution
  • Diploma in Instrumentation and knowledge in Chemistry will be an added advantage

TERMS OF SERVICE:

For teaching positions above Tutorial Fellow employment will be on permanent and pensionable terms.

Tutorial Fellows are employed on one (1) year renewable contract, to the maximum of three (3) years.

The terms for non- teaching positions include a generous medical scheme, house allowance and commuting allowance. Successful candidates will be offered two (2) year renewable performance - based contract and gratuity will be paid at the end of the contract.
