1. DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY HEALTH & EPIDEMIOLOGY
LECTURERS
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- An earned PhD. Degree in Public Health from an accredited and recognized University.
- Masters in Public Health with specialization in either Epidemiology and Disease Control or Monitoring and Evaluation from an accredited and recognized University
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health, Community Health ,Public Health or MBChB
- At least three (3) years University teaching or research / industry experience.
2.CHIEF LEGAL OFFICER – GRADE 15.
Reporting to the Vice Chancellor, the Chief Legal officer will be in charge of the University Legal department;
Main Duties and Responsibilities;
- Management of activities carried out by the University legal function
Provide legal counsel to University Management Board and Council. - Coordinate preparation of all University Legal documents.
- Interpret and implement University Statutes, Terms and Conditions of Service, Collective Agreements and other documents that have legal binding on the University
- Offer legal advice to University on management and disposal of property.
- Ensure University legal and regulatory frameworks are legally compliant through constant review.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in law, Business Administration or other related areas .
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree or its equivalent from a recognized university
- Post graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
- CPS (K) will be an added advantage.
- Membership to relevant professional body – LSK.
- Valid Practising Certificate
- At least seven (7) years working experience in a large corporation and currently holding a similar or equivalent position.

3. LEGAL OFFICER – GRADE 11.
Will be reporting to the Chief Legal officer
Main Duties and Responsibilities;
- Handling legal matters on behalf of the University
- Advising University on legal matters.
- Participate preparation of University Legal documents.
- Assisting University lawyers in all court proceedings involving the University and giving opinions when needed
- Facilitate University legal and regulatory frameworks through constant review.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree or its equivalent from a recognized university
- Post graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
- CPS (K) will be an added advantage.
- Membership to relevant professional body – LSK.
- Valid Practising Certificate
- At least three (3) years working experience in a large corporation and currently holding a similar or equivalent position.
- Well versed and experienced in Labour Laws Kenya

SALES AND MARKETING EXECUTIVE
Reporting to the Director, KU TV & Radio, the Sales and Marketing Executive will:
Purpose:
1. To sell TV and Radio advertising space to brands, agencies and other clients managing sales, forecasting revenue and helping the sales and marketing team gain market insights.
2. Developing sales strategies for all my assigned customers and potential customers.
3. Selling advertisement on KUTV.
4. Booking appointments and meeting company heads, to talk to them about Kenyatta University Television.
5. Assisting in formulation and implementation of long and short-term strategic sales plans for all my accounts within my assigned area.
6. Track customer complaints and resolve them to the benefit of the customer.
7. Working closely with our credit department to ensure our terms are met while simultaneously maintaining an appropriate flow of products to customers.
8. Establishing and maintaining a customer relations database.
9. Selling events planned by KUTV.
10. Manage the marketing wing of the sales and marketing department reporting to the section head sales and marketing department.
11. Overseeing implementation of the Marketing strategy - including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR.
12. Develop event proposals and concepts that aid in the marketing of the television and generating revenue.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor Degree in Marketing or related field from a recognized university
2. Professional qualification in Marketing or related field
3. At least two (2) years advertisement sales experience in a similar role, advertising, media selling or TV service
4. Bachelor Degree in Media or Journalism or Mass Communication with two (2) years marketing experience in a reputable media firm will also be considered.
Other Requirements:

- HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER - GRADE 15
Reporting to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), the Human Resource Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate human resource management functions of the University to maximize the strategic use of human capital.
Main Duties and Responsibilities;
- Develop proposals and provide technical guidance on Human Resource policies and strategies for the University within the framework of Industrial and Labor Laws of Kenya as well as international Human Resource Management principles.
- Ensure planning for all human resources required in the University in collaboration and coordination with other heads of departments.
- Coordinate all the Human Resource functions within the established policies and procedures.
- Regularly review the staff establishment and submit recommendations on gaps identified and make necessary adjustments in order to attract and retain competent staff.
- Perform annual Human Resource audits and provide feedback on progress and achievement of the human resource management programmes, procedures, processes and services to the University Management Board.
- Develop and oversee implementation of a comprehensive framework for effective succession planning management in the University.
- Spearhead performance management and training function in the University for Staff Career Development.
- Develop human resource work plans, budgets and departmental procurement plans.
- Oversee the evaluation, classification and rating of occupation and job positions in the University for proper placement and compensation

Qualifications:
- A minimum of Masters Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or any other relevant qualification from a registered and recognized institution
- For those with Masters Degree with NO Human Resource Management Specialization a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Human Resource Management is a requirement
- At least five (5) years’ working experience as a Human Resource Manager or Equivalent in a large organization.
- A practicing member of IHRM in good standing, with a current practicing certificate.
- Experience in deployment and management of HR Information Management Systems.

Reporting to the Vice –Chancellor, the Director, KU TV & Radio will manage and oversee all work activities at KU TV & Radio.
Main Duties and Responsibilities;
- Perform all executive producer roles through planning, co-coordinating and controlling the production and operation of TV & Radio
- Managing, directing and evaluating the performance of a team of producers, programmers and designers to follow through the departmental strategy
- Initiation, formulation and implementation of TV and Radio Programme policies and interpretation of National Policies affecting Programmes.
- Develop and maintain attractive program schedules to ensure growth and sustainability of audience.
- Oversee the station’s budget by developing and implementing sales and marketing plans
- Planning, co-coordinating and controlling the production and operation of TV channels
- Consistent identification of communication solutions, needs and opportunities for the TV channels
- Proactively networking with local and international partners to provide a wide spectrum of beneficial working relationships to the University TV &Radio.
- Participating in high level presentation at Board and Management level and represent KU TV & Radio interests.
- Prepare periodic reports for management as may be requested from time to time.
Qualifications:
A minimum of Masters Degree in TV Production, Communication, Radio Production or any other relevant media studies qualification from a registered and recognized institution with at least five (5) years working experience as a TV Director, Radio Director or Producer or any other comparable position in print or electronic media
OR
A Masters Degree in any other area with a HND or Diploma in Media studies from a registered and recognized institution with five (5) years work experience in print or electronic media

- PENSIONS MANAGER - GRADE 15
Reporting to the Kenyatta University Pension Trustee Board, the Pensions Manager will work together with the Kenyatta University Employee Pension Fund to carry out the following functions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To give advice to the University in relation to legislative issues concerning pensions.
- Be in charge of management of the University’s pension scheme
- Responsible for all statements, advice and information given to employees and members of the pension scheme as required.
- Ensure monthly and annual reconciliation of contributions to the pension scheme.
- In consultation with the Board of Trustees, make decisions with regard to the running of the Pension Schemes by interpretation of scheme rules, legislation and current practice.
- Act as the first stage decision maker for Internal Disputes Resolution and make appropriate decisions on behalf of the Scheme
Qualifications:
- Masters’ Degree in Financial Management or any other relevant area from a recognized institution
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Option)

- CHIEF INTERNAL AUDITOR - GRADE 15
Reporting to the Vice Chancellor, the Chief Internal Auditor will work together with the University Management and the University Council Audit Committee to provide internal processes control and risk management.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development of implementation policies and procedures that guide the University Internal Audit Functions.
- Carry out a full audit cycle on University Operation effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable government directives and regulations.
- Analyze and evaluate reports, data and any other relevant documentation from Finance Department and recommend how procedures and processes can be made more effective.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of the yearly Internal Audit plan
- Provide Management with reports on internal audit activities and engagements, as may be required.
- Provide quarterly reports to the University Council Audit Committee to facilitate decision making.
- Carry out investigative audits as may be requested by Management from time to time.
- Liaise with external auditors in both interim and final audits, for an external opinion of the financial affairs of Kenyatta University.
Qualifications:
- Masters’ Degree in Financial Management or any other relevant area from a registered and recognized institution
- Bachelors’ Degree in Commerce, Business Management or any equivalent from a registered and recognized institution
- CPA (K), ACCA or the equivalent qualification
- At least five years’ working experience as a Senior Finance Manager in a reputable organization.
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act
- Knowledge of Accounting systems
