ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
QUALIFICATIONS:
- An earned Ph.D Degree from a recognized University with teaching experience of at least three (3) years as a Senior Lecturer or Senior Researcher in relevant fields or equivalent.
- Successfully supervised at least four (4) Masters Students and at least one (1) Ph.D student after being appointed Senior Lecturer.
- A minimum of forty eight (48) publication points* as a Senior Lecturer or equivalent of which thirty two (32) should be in refereed journals.
- Evidence of successfully applying for a grant either individually or as a group after being appointed as a Senior Lecturer.
- Evidence of active participation in departmental activities and good quality teaching
- Evidence of attendance and contribution at learning conferences, seminars and workshops.
- Current registration by relevant professional body.
SENIOR LECTURER
QUALIFICATIONS:
- PhD. Degree from a recognized University with teaching experience of at least five (5) years at University level, three (3) of which as full-time Lecturer.
- A minimum of cumulative Thirty Two (32) publication points* of which Twenty Four (24) are from articles in refereed scholarly journals after being appointed Lecturer
- Successful supervision of at least three (3) Masters Students.
- Evidence of applying for a grant either individually or as a group afterbeing appointed as Lecturer.
- Evidence of good quality teaching.
- Evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars or workshops.
- Current registration by relevant professional body.
LECTURER
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters Degree or its equivalent in the aforementioned arears of specialization.
- At least three (3) years teaching experience at University Level or in research or in industry.

- DIRECTOR- HOSPITALITY SERVICES.
Reporting to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance & Development), the Director Hospitality will direct the hospitality service functions within the University and satellite campuses
Main duties and responsibilities;
- Develop policies to guide the operations of the hospitality directorate in line with the income generation to the university.
- Generate budgets for the annual operation of the hospitality services in the University.
- Prepare periodical reports to the University Management on the performance of the hospitality Services income generating activities for decision making.
- Chair daily departmental briefings, review performance and focus on operational foward planning.
- Inspect all operational areas by walking through to ensure the areas are safe and free from health hazards.
- Read and respond to all received memos from various departments to provide feedback and information as per requests placed in the university.
- Handle clients complaints appropriately.
- Sign and approve daily stores requisition for control purposes and to enable procurement of necessities for the department.
- Supervise all staff in the Directorate.
Qualifications:
- Relevant Masters Degree in Catering, Hotel Management or other Hospitality Services from a recognized institution,
- At least three (3) years’ working experience as a manager in a reputable Hospitality institution.
- Computer literate.

- DEPUTY DIRECTOR - UNIVERSITY SECURITY SERVICES
Reporting to the Director , University Security Services, Deputy Director will coordinate security services , receive and review security reports and investigate security related incidents.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Provide counsel in the supervison of investigative tasks within the University.
- Report unusual activity or ssuspicions on safety issues to the Director or management.
- Properly complete incident reports and misconduct reports in the Univerity.
- Prepare and disseminate security reports to be used by management for decision making from time to time as per request.
- Participate actively in professional growth and advancement of skills among the security staff in the University.
- Build and leverage on positive relationship with students in order to keep the University a safe learning environment.
- Lead efforts to de escalate inappropriate student behavious and assist students to maximize their time on educational activities .
- Make recommendations for corrective actions on any emerging issues in the Security department in the University.
Qualifications;
- Bachelors’ Degree in criminology or security related field, Administration, Business Administration, Social Sciences or in any other relevant areas from a registered and accredited institution.
- At least KCSE mean grade C+ (Plus) or equivalent
- Must have served as at least Chief Inspector of Police in National Police Service or a Captain in Kenya Defense Forces.
- At least five (5) years’ working experience as a Security Manager or Senior Administrative Officer with experience in security management
- Computer literate
- Valid certificate of good conduct
- Relevant additional training in security operations and investigative services will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of relevant legislations

- Clean discharge certificate where applicable.

Tutorial Fellows are employed on one (1) year renewable contract, to a maximum of three (3) years.
