The Vice-Chancellor of the National Defense University- Kenya (NDU-K) Lieutenant-General Jonah Mwangi hands a painting to Kenyatta University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Paul Wainaina to celebrate over a decade of partnership between the two institutions. The event took place during the matriculation of the 11th cohort of Kenya Military Academy (KMA) cadets.

 

 

Kenyatta University hosted a stakeholders, Partners and Alumni forum for the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI), an initiative of former US President Barack Obama. In attendance were (from Left-Right ) Chief of Party, YALI RLC EA Dr.George Kosimbei, Mr. Stevens Susens, Communication Advisor USAID, Mr. Raymond Ouma, Secretary Youth Affairs in the ICT Ministry, Kenyatta University Vice-Chancellor Prof .Paul Wainaina, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) Prof. Waceke Wanjohi and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Paul Okemo and YALI Youth participants.

 

 

 

 

Kenyatta University Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Development) Prof. Godfrey Mse receives a dummy cheaque for Ksh150,000 from Wairimu Chege,  Brand Manager,  Fresha Dairy Brands owned by Githunguri Farmers Co-operative Society . Also in the picture is KU Registrar of Corporate Affairs Prof. Grace Bunyi (extreme right) and Gladys Njeri, Marketing Executive at Fresha Dairy Brands. The cheaque is in support of Kenyatta University hosting the upcoming All Africa University games that commence from June 6th-10th. Close to 2,000 student athletes from all over the African continent will converge at KU to compete in 17 disciplines including athletics and football. 

 

 

The First Lady of the Republic of Kenya HE. Margaret Kenyatta tries her hand at woodball which is one of the five demonstration sports being exhibited during the 10th All Africa University games that kicked off on Monday. Close to 1,500 athletes and officials are participating in the biennial continental games being held at Kenyatta University. The games end on Friday 10th june 2022.

The Founder/Chief Executive Officer of Homeboyz Entertainment Myke Rabar hands over a dummy cheque to Kenyatta University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Paul Wainaina for Ksh10M. The sponsorship is in support of the upcoming All African Universities Games to be held at the Kenyatta University from June 6-10th. Also in attendance was (from left to right) Deputy Vice-Chancellor  (Research, Innovation and Outreach) Prof.Vincent OnyweraMr. Gift Kori, Homeboyz Business Development Manager, and (extreme right) Kenyatta University Deputy Vice-Chancellor Finance and Development Prof. Godfrey Mse.

 

 

The Managing Director AAR Healthcare Mr. Charles Kariuki hands over a dummy cheque to Kenyatta University Vice Chancellor Prof.Paul Wainaina for 500,000/= in support of the All Africa University games that commenced on Monday June 6th  at the Kenyatta University grounds. AAR sponsorship includes provision of Medical Emergencies and a stand by ambulance for athletes attending the games.

The Cabinet Secretary, Sports Heritage and Culture Amb. (Dr.) Amina Mohamed unveils the plaque officially Commissioning the new 6-lane synthetic track at Kenyatta University. She was accompanied by The President of Athletics Kenya Lt. Gen. (Rtd.) Jackson Tuwei (right) and Kenyatta University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Paul Wainaina (left). The track will be used during the upcoming FASU Africa University games that begin on June 4th. The games will be officially opened by the First Lady of the Republic of Kenya Mrs. Margaret Kenyatta.

 

The First Lady of the Republic of Kenya Her Excellency Margaret Kenyatta is welcomed to Kenyatta University by Chief Administrative Secretary Ministry of Health Dr. Mercy Mwangangi (second right) and Kenyatta University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Paul Wainaina. The first Lady was in Kenyatta University to launched an international conference on Health Promotion.The two day conference dubbed "Promoting Health during and beyond Covid-19' is organized by Ministry of Health and Kenyatta University and seeks to empower communities and individuals in adopting effective responses and managing the psychosocial impacts and myths of the pandemic.

The association launch coincided with the opening of the International Food Safety conference at Kenyatta University which is being attended by delegates from Europe and Africa.

Their visit centered on online engagment and how KU can ehance its digital education programmes.   The Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Mr. Wung Peng receiving a gift from Kenyatta University Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. John Okumu. Mr. Peng visited the Kenyatta University Hospital and the new International Language and Culture Center building that was put up through a grant from the Chinese Government. Mr. Peng's visit was aimed at reviewing the good relations between KU and the Peoples Republic of China.
   
The Korean Ambassador to Kenya, H.E Amb. Choi Yeonghan paid a courtesy call on Kenyatta University Vice Chancellor Prof. Paul Wainaina. KU has MOU's with eight Korean Universities and a cordial relationships with several Korean Universities. Amb. Israel Ambassador to Kenya Mr. Yahel Vilan addresses students at Kenyatta University during the UN International Holocaust Remembrance Day to remember over 6M Jews who were slaughtered during the second world and global victims of genocide around the world   The First lady of the republic of Kenya Mrs. Margaret Kenyatta paid a private visit to Kenyatta University to inspect progress of the IAAF games village at Nyayo hostels. She was accompanied by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Paul Wainaina on the inspection and later a tour of the University facilities including the gymn, KUCC and the Campanile.
