Entry Requirements

i. The common Kenyatta University and the School of Agriculture and Enterprise Development admission regulations shall apply.
ii. Candidates must have passed with a mean aggregate of C+ (plus) at KCSE or equivalent.
iii. In addition, the student must have obtained a minimum of C+ (plus) in any three (3) of the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Agriculture or Geography, Mathematics or Physics/Physical Sciences OR
iv. Mean grade C (plain) at KCSE or its equivalent with a Diploma of at least credit pass in a subject related to Agriculture, environmental studies, applied biology or any other related discipline from a recognized Institution OR
v. At least two (2) Principals and one (1) Subsidiary in science subjects with a Principal pass in biology at KACE (A-level) or its equivalent.
vi. Students can also transfer from other Institutions or Departments to the University on Credit transfer provided they meet the minimum admission requirements.

Examinations regulations
i. Kenyatta University common examination regulations shall apply.
ii. Students enrolled for the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree program will be expected to take written examinations on all taught units.
iii. The examinations will constitute 70% of the total marks while the course work assessment tests (CATs) will be 30%.
iv. Field trip courses and field attachment assessments will account for 100%. They will be followed by a diary, comprehensive report and marks will be awarded as stipulated in the School of Agriculture and Enterprise Development regulations. The continuous assessment will comprise of students diaries assessment, written exam based on the trip. The final exam will comprise of elaborate trip reports.
v. The pass mark for the examinations will be 40%.
