The School of Economics together with other nineteen collaborating Universities is planning to launch a Master of Regional Integration degree programme. Admission of the pioneer students is expected in September 2017. The pogramme is an initiative of COMESA and the school. It is meant for capacity building to enhance the quality and expedition of formulation and implementation of regional integration initiatives on trade negotiations, trade policies and protocols by government officers, private sector players and academia within the region. Three academic members of staff participated and presented research papers in the 3rd COMESA research forum held in Kigali, Rwanda from 26th to 30th June, 2017.
