Entry Requirements
The Common regulations for all Masters Degree in the University shall apply. The common regulations for all Masters degrees in the School of Education shall apply. The following shall be eligible for registration for M.Ed in the Department:-
i. Bachelor of Education Degree in related field, with at least Second Class Honours
(Upper Division) or equivalent from Kenyatta University or any recognized institution.
ii. Those with Second Class (Lower Division) may be considered on condition that they
have Grade “C” and above in units relevant to their areas of specialization.
Duration and Pattern of the Course
The Master of Education in the Department shall extend over at least 18 months.Students doing M.Ed by course work, examination and thesis will spend their first year doing TEN units.In their second year, students will concentrate on their research work and submit a thesis. Modes of study and examination:
i. Full Time – regular (4 semesters)
ii. Institutional Based Programme (6 sessions)
iii. Open-Learning (4 semesters)
