Entry Requirements
i. Minimum of C+ or equivalent OR minimum of C (plain) in KCSE or equivalent,
with P1 and two years relevant experience. OR minimum of C in KCSE or equivalent, with credit 11 in an early childhood diploma from Kenyatta university or an equivalent institution.
ii. Mean grade of C- at KCSE and progressed from certificate to Diploma at Kenyatta
University or any other recognized/accredited Institutions
Duration and mode of study of the programme
The duration of study for the programme shall extend over a period of not less than 4 academic
years.
The Bachelor’s programme is offered through residential / regular programmes, open learning
and school based.
Certification
The programme will lead to the award of a bachelor of education degree in early childhood
education.
Examination
The final written examination will constitute 70% of the total mark while the continuous assessment and assignments will constitute 30%.The pass mark of each course shall be 50%.
