DEAN GREEN CUP 2022

Kenyatta University School of Environmental Studies Deans' Cup is an annual football School event, which is held between February and the month of April. This year’s event was organized through the Deans office and the office of Schools’ Congress person. The competition was between third years and second years drawn from the departments of Environmental Science and education, and Environmental Community Development, where Third years from Environmental community Development emerged winners while second years ENS emerged as runners up. The 2022 Deans Green Cup competition was held played on the Eve of Easter break February, 15th April, 2022 at Lower Pit Kenyatta University's games ground.

 Before the matches, there was the participating teams were presented with the schools set of two new football uniforms, procured by the school for the school teams present and future and two new balls by the School Administrator. As usual where the school of Environmental studies is present, tree planting comes along with it. The event began with tree planting along the fence where 20 assorted tree seedlings were planted all the teams had prepared well for this event and played well. The finals were a thrilling encounter which saw level 300 take on level 200. The winner’s level 300 hundreds were crowned the winners and presented with a beautiful trophy, participation Certificates and ksh.7000 while the runners up were awarded with certificates and Ksh.5000 again by the School administrator. In the closing remarks, the congress person thanked the University for giving them the opportunity and the facility, the Office of the Dean for facilitating the event, the organizers, coaches, participants and the crowd which turned in large numbers to cheer the players  and giving them moral.
