CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Chemchemi –International Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences ISSN: 1563-1028

Chemchemi-International Journal of the Humanities and Social Sciences (ISSN 1563-1028) is a peer reviewed print journal of international standards published by the School of Law Arts and Social Sciences, Kenyatta University Nairobi, Kenya. The editor invites submissions of scholarly abstracts from disciplines under the Law, Arts and Social Sciences for the forthcoming issue (volume 11 Issue 1 2023) that focuses on emergent theories, concepts, approaches, paradigms and issues in security studies and development studies. This vibrant annual Journal is both inter-disciplinary and trans-disciplinary in scope. Abstracts for papers bearing arguments and perspectives that underscore this view are highly encouraged. Chemchemi publishes original research articles based on case studies, empirical and other research, as well as solicits book reviews from researchers, academicians, professionals, practitioners and students from all over the world.

Email submission as an MS word attachment is mandatory, and abstracts should be 300 words. Book review articles should be 1000 words and adhere to the focus of the issue. A separate cover page indicating the title of the paper, the author’s name and institutional affiliation and contact information must accompany all submitted abstracts. The author’s name should not appear on the second page. Authors of the successful abstracts will be contacted on 30th November 2023. The abstracts should be in Times New Romans, Font 12 and adhere strictly to the APA reference style. They can be submitted in English (French and Kiswahili articles or those in any other language should be accompanied with a translation in English.

Subsequent papers shall be subjected to a rigorous, blind peer review process in line with international scholarly practice. Contributors of articles selected for publication will receive one copy of the journal. Please email all submissions and /or related communication to all the three emails addresses below;
