About Us
The department was established in 2016 as one of the two departments in the School of Nursing. The department is responsible for undergraduate courses in Neonatology, Midwifery, Community & Public Health, Oncology, Anatomy, Psychiatry, Nutrition, Medical Sociology & Anthropology, Gender & Health and Gerontology Nursing. The areas of specialization for the Master of Science students include Midwifery, Oncology, Mental Health & Psychiatry, and Community Health Nursing.

To be recognized as the premier department in Community Health and Reproductive Health matters through research, training and practice that positively impacts local and global population health.
MISSION STATEMENT.
The Mission of the Department of Community & Reproductive Health Nursing is to prepare nurse leaders to promote and advance health care through the lifespan for people in our nation, region and the world. We believe that our graduates will exhibit excellency in leadership for the nursing profession through high quality education, research, scholarly activities, community service, and in clinical practice.
