I greatly enjoyed studying for my Master of public health (MPH) in the Department of Community Health in Kenyatta University. The course is delivered through high quality teaching and interactive mentorship sessions with the faculty and other students which ensures that students get the most out their time in the program. The lecturers are very experienced in the field of Public Health in addition to being friendly and approachable and always ready and willing to guide students throughout their duration of study. The learning experience is further enriched through academic visits as well as a well equipped a library and a conducive learning environment. The MPH course met my expectations and shaped my career path which has led me towards realization of my dreams as a professional in Community Health.
Dr George Kimathi- Ph.D - Graduand
Grateful to have gotten a chance to Study my Ph.D in a conducive department. I secured a job with Amref Health Africa on completion of my Ph.D as a Programme Manager. The opportunity to interact with the departmental faculty and fellow scholars enhanced my technical as while as leadership and management skills. Staff at the Department of Community Health are highly professional, efficient and committed to their calling. I commend the teaching and non-teaching staff for their dexterity in supporting students without tire. Supervision for my research work and Thesis was meticulously planned and executed adhering to the highest degree of scientific and academic rigor. The mentorship approach applied by my supervisors (Dr. John Paul Oyore and Dr. Isaac Mwanzo) not only sharped my command of the ever dynamic Public Health and Epidemiology space but also transformed my worldview. Through the department, I am squarely prepared to provide leadership in community health across the globe.
