Sumesh Chander Chhabra (PhD): Professor in natural products chemistry, with specialization in identification and structural elucidation of medicinal compounds from plants and herbs

Ahmed Hassanali (PhD): Professor in natural products chemistry, with specialization in bio-prospecting (arthropod repellents, acaricides, mosquitocides, trypanocides) and chemical ecology & control of human and animal disease vectors (tsetse, mosquitoes, ticks), plant pests (desert locust, stem borers, termites, postharvest pests) and parasitic weeds; arthropod ecological & behavior modeling.

Caroline Lang’at-Thoruwa (PhD): Associate Professor in natural products chemistry, synthesis and semi synthesis of natural products, pharmaceuticals - anti-malarials, anti-microbials and post-harvest natural pesticides.
Wilson Njue (PhD): Associate Professor in natural products chemistry, organic synthesis, natural products, phytochemical studies, medicinal properties of plants.

Hudson Nyambaka (PhD): Associate Professor in analytical chemistry with specialization in analysis of nutrients using chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques, food processing and its effect on nutritional qualities; bioavailability and bioconversion of food nutrients; development of chemical procedures; environmental pollution from heavy metals and pesticides; analysis of aflatoxins in foods.

Jane I. Murungi (PhD): Associate Professor in analytical/environmental chemistry specializing in inorganic analysis of heavy metals and inorganic anions in water bodies; environmental pollution due to vehicular emissions, industrial effluents and indoor and outdoor particulates.

Henry Thairu (PhD): Associate Professor in physical chemistry specializing in
electrochemistry, corrosion studies, metal ion complexes and their use as environmental and biological ligands; thermodynamics studies.
Sauda Swaleh (PhD): Associate Professor in natural product chemistry with specialization in anti-malarial and antimicrobial constituents of medicinal plants and elucidation of their structures; analysis and bioactivity of essential oils and food toxicology studies.

Alex K. Machocho (PhD): Associate Professor innatural products chemistry with particular reference to bio-pesticides for the control of pests; anti-malarial and anti-microbial agents from medicinal plants; structural elucidation of natural products; synthesis of bioactive natural products.

Charles O. Onindo (PhD): Senior Lecturer in physical chemistry with specialization in metal ion complexes and their use as environmental and biological ligands; thermodynamics studies of biomolecules and metal ions in natural water and biological systems.

Ruth Wanjau (PhD): Senior Lecturer in analytical/environmental chemistry with emphasis on analysis of heavy metals and inorganic anions in water bodies; environmental pollution due to vehicles, industrial effluents and indoor and outdoor particulates; body immunity boosting nutrients.

Joseph K. Thiongo (PhD): Senior Lecturer in physical chemistry with emphasis on corrosion science and cement chemistry.
Richard Musau (PhD): Senior Lecturer in synthetic organic chemistry specializing in synthesis of furan-based bifunctional and macrocyclic molecules; identification of biologically active principles of medicinal plants; biofuels.

Alfonse W. Wanyonyi (PhD): Senior Lecturer in natural product chemistry with particular reference to isolation and structure elucidation of secondary metabolites from medicinal plants, mainly molluscicidal, antimalarials and biopesticides; synthesis of bioactive natural products.
