| Justification / Rationale | In contemporary education system, schools must have a functional library (resource centre) to support the syllabus. These libraries encompass the activities of acquisition, organization, retrieval, and dissemination as enshrined in the information professional practice. This ideally calls for a trained information practitioner who may also be a trained teacher. This program is aimed at equipping a trained teacher with the basic information science domain knowledge to enable him / her to functionally run and manage a school library. |
