Kenyatta University seeks to recruit competent and dedicated individuals to fill up the following
Positions;
DIRECTORATE OF SPORTS AND GAMES:
Coach C/D: Main Campus
Qualification & Experience:
- Applicants must be holders of degree in a sports related field. In addition, applicants must have three (3) years experience as a coach.
- Must possess a certificate in coaching Football (CAF Level C and above), Basketball (FIBA Module 1/2and above) or Handball (License D and above)
- Must demonstrate ability to coach sports at a National level.
- Must demonstrate ability to plan and implement training programs at the University.
- Must possess a Certificate in First Aid.
- Play experience at National team level will be an added advantage.
- Must have at least 3 years coaching in institution of higher learning.
Main duties & Responsibilities:
(a) Develop and implement comprehensive sports training programs.
(b) Evaluate and select players to represent the university in various competitions.
(c) Design and implement game strategies, including analysis and performance review.
(d) Motivate and provide guidance to players.
(e) Ensure the safety and wellbeing for players during training and competitions.
(f) Schedule training sessions and maintaining accurate records and reports.
(g) Perform any other duty that may be assigned by the Director of Sports and Games.
Coach Grade A/B: (Main, Parklands, Nakuru, Kitui and Mombasa Campuses)
Qualification & Experience:
- Must hold a diploma in a sports-related field.
- Must possess a basic coaching certificate in Handball/Volleyball/Soccer or Basketball
- Must have at least three (3) years’ experience coaching at a higher learning institution
- Playing experience at National team level will be an added advantage.
- Must possess a Certificate in First Aid.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide training support and oversee player development.
- Monitor player performance and track progress.
- Evaluate and select players to represent university in various competitions.
- Design and implement and analyze game strategies.
- Motivate and offer guidance to players for optimal performance.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of players during training and competitions.
- Schedule training sessions and matches, and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Director, Sports and Games.
Coach Grade III/IV: (Main, Parklands, Nakuru, Kitui and Mombasa Campuses)
Qualification and Experience:
- Must possess a basic coaching certificate in Handball/Basketball/Athletics/Volleyball or Karate.
- Applicants must be holders of KCSE D+ or above.
- In addition, applicant must have at least two (2) years and experience in coaching in an institution of higher learning.
- Playing experience at National team level will be an added advantage

DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH
Technician Grade A/B:
The overall purpose of the job is the demonstration of critical skills to public health students within public health laboratories, field trips and public health installations.
Qualifications and work experience:
- At least a diploma in environmental health or public health from an accredited or recognized institution.
- At least two (2) years industry / working experience.
- Evidence of work experience in a teaching institution.
- Laboratory / research experience is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Must be registered by public health and the technician’s council with a valid practicing license.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct practical teaching sessions to undergraduate students.
- Actively participate in research activities within the field of public health.
- Engage in community outreach initiatives related to public health.
- Oversee and support the management of public health laboratory.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students on career development.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the university through the relevant offices.
DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY:
Technician Grade A/B:
Qualification and experience:
- Must be a holder of KCE/Division III/KCSE Mean Grade C (plain) and above.
- Ordinary National Diploma in the Analytical Chemistry or equivalent from a recognized institution
- They must have at least three (3) years relevant work experience in a busy Teaching/Research Laboratory.
- Computer literate.
TERMS OF SERVICE:
The terms of service include Basic salary, house allowance, commuting allowance and medical insurance/cover
