KU Holds Talks With Max Planck Institute on Strategic Science Collaboration

The acting DVC (Research, Innovation and Outreach (RIO), Prof. Joseph Ngeranwa (right), hosted Prof. (Dr.) Tobias Bonhoeffer (left), Director at the Max Planck Institute, for discussions on potential collaborations in advanced scientific research. The meeting examined shared strengths in neuroscience, biotechnology, environmental science and agricultural sciences, while acknowledging the valuable role of SUAREC’s Study Abroad Programme in enhancing KU’s training capacity in environmental science and biotechnology. The discussions also explored the prospect of positioning Kenyatta University as a regional hub for Max Planck–aligned research.
