KU Marks Leadership Transition as Prof. John Okumu Assumes Office

Kenyatta University’s incoming Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John Okumu, officially received the instruments of power from outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Paul Wainaina, following the completion of his final term. The ceremonial handover signifies the seamless transition of leadership and the university’s continued commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and growth.

The ceremony was witnessed by Kenyatta University Chairperson of Council, Prof. Clara Momanyi, PhD, EBS, and Council member Dr. Gatama Gichini, underscoring the importance of governance and institutional continuity in the university’s operations.
