The International Open Access Week was celebrated from 24th – 30th October 2016. This year’s theme was “Open in Action”
Kenyatta University Library like any other Academic and research Library celebrated the same next week from 25th to 27th October 2016 with the following activities:
- Workshop on self-Archiving for postgraduate students on 25th October 2016
- Library exhibition on 26th and 27th outside the Library parking area.
- Video (infomercial) on Open Access in collaboration with KUTV/INASP
The official opening ceremony was held on 26th October 2016 at 9.30 am and was graced by our Ag. Vice Chancellor Prof. Paul Wainaina
The Keynote speaker was Prof. Joseph Kiplang’at (DVC) Admin, Technical University of Kenya (TUK).
Thereafter, there was exhibition by publishers and booksellers
