Internal Research Grant Applications 2025

Deadline: Friday, May 30, 2025 at 5:00 PM. Late applications will not be accepted. All applications must be submitted electronically to research@ku.ac.ke.

The KU Office of Research and Innovation invites applications for the 2025 Internal Research Grants. These grants are available to all full-time academic staff of Kenyatta University to support research projects that align with the university's strategic research priorities.

Required Documents

  • Completed KU Research Grant Application Form (download below)
  • Detailed research proposal (max 10 pages, Times New Roman 12pt, 1.5 spacing)
  • Itemised budget with justifications
  • Current CV of Principal Investigator and all co-investigators
  • Ethical clearance approval (if involving human participants)
  • Letter of support from Head of Department
