Kenyatta University’s Amphitheatre hosted an Interfaith Thanksgiving Prayer Service on April 6, 2025, drawing a large gathering of students and faculty. The event, themed “Rooted in Gratitude, Flourishing in Unity” featured prayers and presentations from various religious leaders and student groups, including Christian, Muslim, and other faiths.
The service included musical performances, readings, sermons, and prayers for the university community, the nation, and students facing examinations. Key speakers, including Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Waceke Wanjohi and religious leaders, emphasised the importance of unity and gratitude. The service concluded with a benediction, highlighting the University’s commitment to interfaith harmony.
Observed annually on the last Sunday before the academic year’s end, the Interfaith Service aims to commit students to a successful examination period.
