TERMS OF SERVICE:

Kenyatta University is in the process of opening a new state of the art Hospital – Kenyatta University Teaching, Research and Referral Hospital (KUTRRH). The Hospital aspires to meet the health needs of all Kenyans, regional and global citizens with quality, compassionate patient and family centered health care. The Hospital will also offer training of highly skilled medical manpower while carrying out medical research and serve as a referral centre. LEGAL OFFICER
Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor of Law degree from a recognized university
  • Applicants must have at least two (2) years of relevant work experience

Duties:

  • Participating in drawing, negotiating and vetting contracts, leases and other legal instruments
  • Drafting responses to legal queries and general correspondence
  • Liaising with Company witnesses and external Advocates on litigation matters
  • Providing legal opinions and reports on legal matters as may be required

TERMS OF SERVICE:
For teaching positions above Tutorial Fellow employment will be on permanent and pensionable terms.

Tutorial Fellows are employed on one (1) year renewable contract, to the maximum of three (3) years.

The terms for non-teaching positions include a generous medical scheme, house allowance and commuting allowance. Successful candidates will be offered two (2) year renewable performance-based contract and gratuity will be paid at the end of the contract.

The applicants should provide full details of educational and professional qualification, work experience, present post and salary, applicant’s telephone number and e-mail address.

Copies of certificates and testimonials should also be enclosed giving the names and addresses of three (3) referees who are conversant with the applicant’s competence in area of specialization.
