Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, the Deputy Finance Officer will be in charge of the Revenue Management in the Finance department.

Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, the Deputy Finance Officer will be in charge of the Expenditure Management in the Finance department.

  • CHIEF INTERNAL AUDITOR

Reporting to the Vice Chancellor, the Chief Internal Auditor will work together with the University Management and the University Council Audit Committee to provide internal processes control and risk management.

  • HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

Reporting to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), the Human Resource Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate human resource management functions of the University to maximize the strategic use of human capital.

  • PRINCIPAL PENSIONS OFFICER

Reporting to the Kenyatta University Pension Trustee Board, the Principle Pensions Officer will work together with the University to manage the Kenyatta University Employee Pension Fund.

PROJECT COORDINATOR

The Enhancing Community Food Security in Urban and Rural Areas through Outreach Youth Champions (EFSOYC) project hosted by Kenyatta University is seeking to engage a project coordinator. The goal of the EFSOYC project is to enhance food security and improve livelihoods in the urban and rural areas through Agri- enterprise initiatives targeting the most food insecure farming households using OYC. In pursuit of SDG 2, the Kenya Government Big Four Agenda on food security and the Science, Technology, Innovation Strategy for Africa (STISA-2024) priority area on eradication of hunger and achieving food security, the project will adopt an innovative and participatory approach to contribute to enhancement of food security. This pilot project will leverage on the potential of youth drawn from Kenyatta University to drive food security efforts in their local communities by using an Outreach Youth Champions (OYC) model and existing community organizations.

Qualifications:
1.  Diploma from a recognized institution
2. Should be below 35 years of age.
Additional Qualifications:
1. At least three (3) years relevant post qualification work experience in managing resources, handling logistics, report writing and record keeping.
2. Ability to work and deliver outputs within strict deadlines.
3. An organized approach and excellent time management skills.

1. Vacancy with BRECcIA: Postdoctoral Research Assistant (PDRA) on Research Policy Analysis for Kenya, Malawi and Ghana (1 Position)

The Building Research Capacity for sustainable water and food security insub-Saharan Africa (BRECcIA) project; (see www.gcrf-breccia.com)is led by the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom and partners with five Universities located in three countries (Malawi, Kenya and Ghana), and partnerships with 8 international organizations, working on research and capacity development in the coupled areas of water and food security. The 4 year project is part of the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) RCUK Collective Fund “Growing Research Capability to Meet the Challenges Faced by Developing Countries”programme which is ‘one of the most ambitious international research programmes created; with £225 million being invested across 37 interdisciplinary projects’ to address a range of global development challenges.
The overall objective of the proposed work is to strengthen research capacity and capabilities in institutions in three Sub-Saharan African countries to carry out impactful research that leads to positive policy/practice change for sustainable water and food security, and to ensure that this capacity is sustained and propagated throughout and after the project.

CALL FOR PROPOSAL FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE AFRICA CENTER FOR TRANSFORMATIVE AND INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP (ACTIL’S) FIVE (5) YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN 2017-2022 AND M & E FRAMEWORK

The Africa Centre for Transformative and Inclusive Leadership (ACTIL) was established in 2013 by UN Women ESARO, in partnership with Kenyatta University, and officially launched in February 2014. Since inception we developed and continue to develop strategic and transformational leadership capacities of current and emerging African national leaders, with a special focus on women and youth, with great success stories as proof.

ACTIL, in consultation and partnership with key stakeholders, seeks the services of a consultant to develop, a five-year strategic plan for the period 2017 – 2022.The consultant shall be informed by, but not limited to: internal reflections on the lessons learnt since the establishment of the Center to date, audit reports and evaluations of ACTIL’s activities, operations and communications documentation from inception to date.
