  • Certificate in recognition in 1985 for excellent work done in coordination of Beyond War Awards to six Heads of State in five continents named as FIVE CONTINENTS SPACE BRIDGE organised by BEYOND WAR FOUNDATION. In the African continent the late Mwalimu Julius K Nyerere, President of the Republic of Tanzania was receiving the Award and coordination was from NAIROBI. • In 1989 while at KP&TC as a Data Processing Manager, I managed smooth transfer of old and sensitive Key Edit System, a data entry system for KP&TC Data processing. This earned me a cash award and a letter of commendation. It was the first time an Engineer was assigned to head Data Processing and it is for this sensitive work that I was moved to Data Processing. This movement of Key Edit System was to pave way for construction of the Telposta Towers.
  • In 1990 while at KPTC as Assistant General Manager, I worked on a small but very important project of collecting billing data online from remote telephone exchanges. Before then, staff had to go out to collect billing data but after this project, we begun downloading billing data from the remote exchanges thereby saving KP&TC lots of expenses. I demonstrated this work to the MD and he was very impressed and I received a commendation letter for the work done.
