Clean energy research supporting Kenya's Vision 2030 energy goals
The Centre for Renewable Energy Studies pioneers research in solar, wind, geothermal and biomass energy solutions tailored to East Africa's unique energy challenges and opportunities. The centre works with government agencies, utilities and communities to pilot off-grid and mini-grid technologies, build local technical capacity and inform national energy policy in support of Kenya's Vision 2030.
We welcome collaboration with researchers, industry, government and development partners, and host postgraduate students across our focus areas.
